The fruiting body is cup-shaped, then flattening to a disk, with a brown-black internal surface, the external surface being dull brown .

The flesh is yielding a liquid when cut;

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, mostly on burnt ground, in sandy pine woods.

The fruiting period takes place from April to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 4 cm (between 1 and 6 cm)
  total height approximately 2 cm (between 1 and 3 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Plicaria endocarpoides is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is frequent, more generally speaking .
