The fruiting body is a assembly of irregular caps, fused or grouped together, sulphur-yellow, then olive, not banded, with a yellowish stem.

The flesh is yellow then olive green; the odour is mealy.

The fertile surface is made of yellow then yellow-brown spines. The spore print is brown.

It grows on the ground, on sandy soils, in the mountains, on a rather calcareous soil.

The fruiting period takes place from August to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 6 cm (between 1 and 14 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Hydnellum geogenium is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is very rare, more generally speaking .
