The fruiting body is spherical, covered with fine spines or warts, white then yellow-brown.

The fertile surface is internal: the spores are released as dust when mature.

It grows on the ground, in broad-leaved and coniferous woods, with pine, oaks.

The fruiting period takes place from July to September.
Dimensions:
  total height approximately 5 cm (between 4 and 6 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Bovistella radicata is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is very rare, more generally speaking .
