Identification of mushrooms without gills, nor tubes, nor spines


 

whitish to ochre fruiting body; very fragrant flesh, pale ochre then brownish with a reddish tinge, and marbled with white veins; on calcareous soils with deciduous trees (preferably poplar); confined to some parts of Mediterranean Europe (Northern Italy, spotted in Southern France, Balkans)

dark reddish brown to coal black fruiting body, covered with acute, polygonal and contiguous 3-5mm wide warts; very fragrant flesh, white they grey, becoming reddish brown to violet black with age or when cut, and crossed with dense white veins; found on calcareous soils, in deciduous woods, preferably with oak or hazel trees, in warm and dry areas
