Identification of pezizas (Elf cups)


 

whitish to grey, in small cups (diameter less than 3 cm); in summer/autumn; outer surface covered with brown hairs; on sandy soil or dead wood; tough flesh

whitish to grey, in very small cups then flattened (diameter less than 1.5 cm); in winter/spring; folds or wrinkles radiating from the centre

whitish, in tufts of large cups (3 to 20 cm); in autumn on burnt grounds or fireplaces
