The cap is pink (young) then brownish-pink, with a central umbo. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky.

The stem is smooth, with a short-lived ring.

The flesh is unchanging; its taste is mild; the odour is pleasant (or unpleasant according to authors), fruity or of rubber; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are adnate, crowded (nb of gills per 90° ~ 20 ). The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, in the woods.

The fruiting period takes place from October to November.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 3 cm (between 1 and 5 cm)
  height of stem approximately 5 cm (between 2 and 6 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 4 mm (between 2 and 5 mm)

Distinctive features : pink then brownish-pink cap young, with a distinctively toothed overhanging margin

Cystolepiota moelleri is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
