The fruiting body is column shaped, pure white.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, in broad-leaved woods, on a rather calcareous soil.

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 0.3 cm (between 0.1 and 0.5 cm)
  total height approximately 4 cm (between 1 and 8 cm)

Distinctive features : simple (not branching), sometimes in troops

Clavaria falcata is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
