The fruiting period takes place from June to November.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 8 cm (between 3 and 14 cm)
  height of stem approximately 11 cm (between 6 and 15 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 15 mm (between 10 and 25 mm)

Distinctive features : very pale cap; stem dotted with red-brown; pores weeping when young; with 5 needle pines (aroles, Weymouth) in the mountains

Suillus placidus is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
