The fruiting body is cup-shaped, with a pale buff yellowish internal surface, the external surface being of similar colours.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, in damp areas (limy walls).

The fruiting period takes place all year long.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 6 cm (between 1 and 15 cm)
  total height approximately 2 cm (between 1 and 3 cm)


Peziza cerea is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is occasional, more generally speaking .
