The fruiting body is pear-shaped, grainy surface without spines, soon smooth, grey-beige then ochre-brown, with a very short stem, not clearly marked from the fertile head.

The fertile surface is internal: the spores are released as dust when mature.

It grows on the ground, in dunes, grassy places, sandy soils, out of forests.

The fruiting period takes place from July to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 2 cm (between 1 and 2.5 cm)
  total height approximately 2.5 cm (between 1.5 and 4 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Lycoperdon lividum is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is infrequent, more generally speaking .
