The cap is pale ochre-brown, with a central umbo; its margin is thin, slightly flocculose in the youth then smooth. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky.

The stem is smooth, with a short-lived ring.

The flesh is unchanging; its taste is mild; the odour is pleasant; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are adnate, crowded . The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, in parks, on a rather calcareous soil.

The fruiting period takes place from July to November.
Dimensions: width of cap approximately 3.5 cm (between 2 and 6 cm)
  height of stem approximately 5 cm (between 2 and 9 cm)
  thickness of stem (at largest section) approximately 8 mm (between 4 and 12 mm)

Distinctive features : Cap looking smooth, bright ochre-brown

Lepiota oreadiformis is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
