The cap is reddish-brown to tawny-brown at the centre, disrupting concentrically towards the margin without forming distinct scales, on a ochre-yellow background, with a central umbo; its margin is with white veil remnants. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky.

The stem is with scales or bands under the ring, with a membranous ring.

The flesh is unchanging; its taste is mild; the odour is pleasant; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are adnate, crowded . The spore print is white. This species is saprophytic. It grows on the ground, in the woods, with hazel.

The fruiting period takes place from July to November.
