The cap is whitish, tinged brown with age; its margin is smooth. The cap surface is smooth, not viscid nor sticky.

The stem is cottony, bulbous, with a white sheathing volva, without ring.

The flesh is unchanging; the odour is not distinctive; its texture is fibrous.

The gills are white, then pink, free, crowded . The spore print is pink. This species is parasitic. It grows on the ground, in the woods, parasite of the Clouded funnel (Clitocybe nebularis).

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
