Helvella atra J. König |
The cap is mitre- or saddle-shaped or twisted disk-shaped, folded back on itself, with a dark brown to blackish internal surface, the external being paler, with a well differentiated stem, of clay colour, full of a white marrow. The fertile surface is smooth. It grows on the ground, in broad-leaved and coniferous woods. The fruiting period takes place from July to December.
Helvella atra is rare and confined in the forest of Rambouillet, and is infrequent, more generally speaking . | ||
