The fruiting body is cushion-shaped, round and wavy, with an inrolled margin, on top of a stem, with a cinnamon ochre to reddish brown internal surface, the external being of similar colours, with a short stem, slightly hairy, not clearly marked from the fertile head, cinnamon-ochre to reddish brown (concolorous to head), furrowed or veined, bron from the base up.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on wood, in coniferous woods, on needles.

The fruiting period takes place from September to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 1 cm (between 0.7 and 1.2 cm)
  total height approximately 2.5 cm (between 2 and 3 cm)

Distinctive features : sorry, no English description yet

Cudonia confusa is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is rare, more generally speaking .
