The fruiting body is spindle-shaped (tapering towards both ends), bright pink.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on the ground, in woodlands, in the grass.

The fruiting period takes place from October to December.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 0.3 cm (between 0.1 and 0.5 cm)
  total height approximately 3.5 cm (between 2 and 5 cm)

Distinctive features : simple (not branching), solitary or in small troops

Clavaria rosea is still unreported so far in the forest of Rambouillet, and is quite rare, more generally speaking .
