The fruiting body is cup-shaped, with a light brown internal surface, the external being light brown too, with a stalk rather than a stem, light brown, not well differentiated.

The fertile surface is smooth.

It grows on wood, on male alder or willow catkins, on alder, willow.

The fruiting period takes place from February to June.
Dimensions: width of fruiting body approximately 0.8 cm (between 0.3 and 1 cm)
  total height approximately 2 cm (between 1 and 3 cm)
