The fruiting body is shaped like a branched shrub, with a central stem firmly anchored to its substrate, from which cylindrical branches emerge and branch ending in pointy tips, bright orange-yellow, viscid in damp weather.

The flesh is yellow, gelatinous and rubbery; its taste is mild; the odour is faint.

The fertile surface is smooth. The spore print is white.

It grows on wood, on coniferous branches and stumps, on spruce, pine.

The fruiting period takes place from June to December.
